1.12 points for an innings win (8 points for win plus four points for
not having batted in the second innings) plus any bonus points
scored in the first innings.
2.8 points for outright win by wickets or runs, plus any bonus points
scored in the first and second innings.
3.3 points for each side in case of tie where only one innings has taken
place owing to unavoidable circumstances plus any bonus points scored
in the innings.
4.In a tie where two innings have taken place and the scores are equal
each side will get four points plus the bonous points scored in the
first and second innings.
5.For a drawn match where only one innings has taken place due to
unavoidable circumstances and the scores are equal each side
will get the bonus points scored in the innings.
6.If both the innings had been played in a drawn match each side will
get the bonus points scored in the first and second innings.
7.In a drawn match where only one innings has taken place due to unavoidable
circumstances and the scores are not equal, each side will get 2 points
plus bonus points scored in the first innings.
8.In a drawn match where no bonus points are earned by any team 3 points
to be given to each them.
9.In a drawn match where two innings have not been completed,the team getting
the first innings lead shall get 5 points, and the other team 3 points.
Plus the batting and bowling points scored by the respective teams in both
the innings.
Calculation of Bonus PointsBonus points are awarded only for performances in the first 120 over of
each first innings and in the first 55 overs of each second innings and
retained whatever the results of the match.1.A maximum of four batting points are available as under:
Up to 120 over (1st innings)
250 to 299 runs : 1 point
300 to 349 runs : 2 points
350 to 399 runs : 3 points
400 and above : 4 points
Up to 55 overs (2nd innings)
175 to 199 runs : 1 point
200 to 224 runs : 2 points
225 to 249 runs : 3 points
250 runs and above: 4 points
2. A maximum of five bowling points are available as under:
Up to 120 overs (1st innings)
3 to 4 wickets taken : 1 point
5 to 6 wickets taken : 2 points
7 to 8 wickets taken : 3 points
9 to 10 wickets taken : 4 points
Up to 55 overs (2nd innings)
1 to 2 wickets : 1 point
3 to 4 wickets : 2 points
5 to 6 wickets : 3 points
7 to 8 wickets : 4 points
9 to 10 wickets : 5 points
Abandoned Match4 points to be awarded to both sides if a match is abandoned without a
ball being bowled.
If Points are Equal
If two or more members in a zone secure equal number of points then their
relative positions in the table of points shall be determined as under.
The number of runs scored by a team shall be divided by overs taken.
The team with the higher run-rate shall be declared winner.
