• Man of the Match: D.K.Liyanage. Sinhalese Sports Club missed their four stalwarts, Arjuna Ranatunga, Asanka Gurusinha, Marvan Attapattu and Pramodya Wickramasinghe, all touring Pakistan at the same time. Though a four-day final, rain hampered the game and the winner of the trophy was decided on the first innings, where a keen tussle ensued with the Colts Cricket Club winning by a narrow nine run margin. Colts Cricket Club won the toss and on the second day staged a remarkable fight back, the last five wickets adding over 150 runs. Skipper Devapriya batted for 206 minutes and hit 10 fours. Samaraweera hit 8 fours in his stay of 176 minutes. Jayawardene fought bravely to hit 4 fours in his stay of over two hours and with Munasinghe added 65 runs for the ninth wicket
