Each team to receive a maximum of 40 overs, with each bowler restricted to 8 overs and the bowler's run-up restricted to 15 yards.
Points system: Four fielders (plus the bowler and wicket-keeper) must be within the area 30 yards from the wicket for each ball.

Prize Money Sixes award: 350 pounds was awarded to the batsman hitting the most sixes in the season - C.G.Greenidge of Hampshire hit 17 to win the prize. Bowling award: 350 pounds was awarded to the bowler with most 4 wickets in an innings in the season - J.G.Thomas of Glamorgan achieved the feat on 3 occasions to win the award.
