If two or more teams finish in on the same number of points in any of the first three places, the positions will be decided on the most wins, or if still equal, the most away wins, or if still equal the highest average run-rate per over throughout the season. Counties with the same number of points in other than first three places share the position.

Prize Money Sixes award: 250 pounds was awarded to the batsman hitting the most sixes in the season - K.S.McEwan of Essex with 17. Bowling award: 250 pounds was awarded to the bowler with most 4 wickets in an innings in the season - W.W.Daniel of Middlesex, R.J.Hadlee of Nottinghamshire and R.G.Williams of Northamptonshire achieved the feat on 2 occasions and shared the award.
