Ball-by-Ball Commentary

Group A: England v Kenya at Canterbury, 18 May 1999

Ball-by-Ball Commentary

there has been a lot of rain this morning and overnight
the covers are off, but the ground isn't in the best of condition
Umpires will have an inspection at 11:45 local time (1045 GMT)

Match State: Match start delayed by wet ground

the weather is taking a turn for the better here. We should see
some play altho it's unlikely the match will finish today
it's been announced the match will start 1215 local time, lunch (?)
to be taken at 15:45 to 1630, and then the scheduled finishing

so it's still scheduled as a 50 over match, indeed overs are not
cut back until the match enters a second day
so it could happen that they go off for bad light at 7:50pm, and
then come back tomorrow for the sum total of 1 over
