Bond out, Mason in for third one-dayer
Lynn McConnell - 31 December 2002
New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond will miss tomorrow's third National Bank Series One-Day International with India at Jade Stadium.
Bond has suffered a side strain in the latter stages of the second Test at Hamilton and will be replaced in the 12 by Central Districts fast-medium bowler, and New Zealand 12th man in the recent Test series with India, Michael Mason.
Mason has been impressive in the two State Shield matches he has played so far, taking five wickets at an average of 7.20 and has conceded just 1.80 runs per over.
Mason was flying to Christchurch this morning to join the side at practice.
