India attempting to consolidate in second women's Test Lynn McConnell - 16 August 2002
England's last three wickets added another 49 runs on day two of the second women's Test with India at Taunton yesterday. England were all out for 329, scored off 128 overs. Neetu David's spin bowling resulted in four wickets for 71 runs while Jhulan Goswami finished with three for 51. India made a measured response and at stumps were 156/3 after 69 overs. Anjum Chopra scored 52 in over three hours of batting to depart at 100, the third wicket to fall and it was left to Mithali Raj and Hemlata Kala to take the score through to 156 in the hour remaining. Raj was 43 not out and Kala 31 not out. The wickets had been shared between Nicola Shaw, Kathryn Leng and Clare Connor. © CricInfo
