Itinerary for New Zealand tour of West Indies released Lynn McConnell - 29 April 2002
New Zealand's tour to the West Indies will begin on June 3. While the New Zealand side will have had two weeks at home to recover from the heat of Pakistan in May, the West Indians will meet the TelstraClear Black Caps in the first One-Day International, only three days after ending their ODI series with India. New Zealand have one warm-up game, against the University of West Indies Vice Chancellor's XI at Sabina Park, Jamaica on June 3. Sabina Park will also be the location of the first ODI. The second and third ODIs are back-to-back games at Boursejour Stadium, a new venue purpose-built in preparation for the hosting of the 2007 World Cup, in St Lucia on June 8 and 9. The fourth match will be at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on June 12 and the fifth at Arnos Vale Complex at St Vincent on June 15. A three-day match, location and opposition still to be announced, will be played on June 17-19. The first Test will be at Kensington Oval in Barbados from June 21-25 and the second Test at the National Stadium in Grenada from June 28 until July 2. New Zealand last toured the West Indies after the 1996 World Cup. © CricInfo
