Tony Hill wins first Test umpiring duties Lynn McConnell - 6 December 2001
Umpire Tony Hill will stand in his first Test match when joining South African David Orchard in controlling the first Test against Bangladesh in Hamilton starting on December 18. Hill, who has twice been a third umpire in Test matches, has stood in seven One-Day Internationals. The third umpire in Hamilton will be Doug Cowie. In the second Bangladesh Test starting in Wellington on Boxing Day, Brent Bowden will stand in his second Test with Australian umpire Daryl Harper. The third umpire for that game will be Dave Quested. The International Cricket Council match referee for the series is Australian Barry Jarman. © CricInfo
