Cricket reviews for later release Lynn McConnell - 22 September 2000
Reviews on club, district and secondary schools cricket undertaken by special New Zealand Cricket committees are still some distance away from being released. The reviews were presented to last week's NZC board meeting but Doig said considerably more work needs to be done on the reports. "We need to work with the Associations on the reviews before we bring them back to the board with recommendations. "They need to be more regionally specific as there are slightly different needs for each association. What works well for Canterbury Cricket may not be what works well for Auckland," he said. Doig said he was well satisfied with the work the review committees have done, and he said two weeks ago that he was excited by the prospects of what had been suggested by the committees. "The reviews are what I expected, we just need to take them a bit further," he said. © CricInfo
