We are once again in Dambulla and today's Sri Lanka v India match
will be the final one at this venue, after this we move to
Colombo.
Last time these two teams met, it was a low scoring affair and Sri
Lanka emerged as victors, thanks to Jayasuriya's valiant innings
plus a fighting lower-order.
Sourav Ganguly is back for India after serving his four match ban
but Dravid will continue as captain.
Weather looks good, it's bright and sunny out there, but this is
Sri Lanka and the weather can change quickly here! there's still
that breeze blowing across the ground but not as intense as the
first two days.
News from the middle is that Rahul Dravid has won the toss and
elected to bat first.
There are few changes in the Indian line up - Ganguly, Laxman and
Balaji are back in the playing eleven - out go Yuvraj, Zaheer Khan
and Venugopal Rao.
Murali has been rested and Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran (on debut), a
Right-arm fast-medium bowler has been included in the eleven.
There are few cracks here and there and one or two rough areas but
it still looks like a decent batting wicket - bowlers should get
some assistance early with the new ball.
