Today Sri Lanka take on India in the opening match of the
tournament at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. West
Indies the other team in this Tri-series will start their campaign
tomorrow with a match against India.
This will be India's first International match in two-and-a-half
months, and they are without Sachin Tendulkar, who is injured and
Sourav Ganguly, who will miss the first two matches due to a ban
imposed on him by ICC for slow over rates.
Rahul Dravid will lead India in the absence of Ganguly.
Sri Lanka on the other hand will start off as favourites after
their thumping 2-0 win against West Indies in the recently
concluded Test series.
Muttiah Muralitharan is the back to full fitness and is picking up
wickets at will - watch out India!
Today Greg Chappell, the former Australia batting legend will begin
his new innings as India coach.
Weather looks good but not perfect, at the moment it's bit cloudy
