Hello and welcome to Cricinfo's live coverage of the second ODI
between India and Sri Lanka being played at the Punjab C.A.
Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh.
India now lead the 7 match series 1-0 after an emphatic win in the
first match of the series.
A revamped Team-India proved too much for the Lankans - first
powered by magnificent innings from Tendulkar, Dravid and Pathan,
India put up a massive total (350) on the board batting first and
then the spinners demolished the Lankan batting line-up
and India went on to win the match by 152 runs.
At the moment it's advantage India, but these are early days and
with 6 more matches left to be played the series is still wide
open.
Mohali day-nighters can be bit tricky especially with the dew
factor playing a big role in the outcome of the match, it is a
proven fact that the bowlers will have a hard time gripping the
ball after sun set and that makes the toss a life and death
situation
Indian captain Rahul Dravid has won the toss and as expected
elected to field first.
