2nd Match: India v Australia at Gwalior, 26 Oct 2003

Ball-by-Ball Commentary

Match State: Match start scheduled for 14.30 Local Time (9am GMT)

Hello and welcome to Gwalior for the second one-day international
        of the TVS Cup
It's a huge, huge game, with India taking on Australia
Both captains have said that the match should not be viewed as a
replay of the World Cup final
This is Anand Vasu, and I will be your commentator for the day.
Let's hope we have a good game on the cards
For the fans, though, especially the Indians, that match will be at
        the back of the mind
And if anything, this game could be an even bigger run-fest
It's bright and sunny in Gwalior, no problems with the rain like in
        Chennai
The pitch is a typical Indian one-day shortfront. Expect the
bowlers to suffer and the batsmen to have a great time
The ground itself is a pretty sight, with the fort in the
background and fans packing the stands
Rahul Dravid, the stand-in captain has done his first good deed of
the day by winning the toss
Naturally, India have elected to bat, what else would they do on a
        wicket like this?
India are playing an unchaged team from their first game against
        New Zealand
Play is about to get under way here
It will be Bracken to set things off, bowlingleft-arm over the
        wicket to Sehwag
       Here we go!
0.1 Bracken to Sehwag, no run, just short of a good length and very
wide outside the off, left well alone, should have been called a
        wide, was not
0.2 Bracken to Sehwag, no run, just short of a length once more, this
time closer to the stumps, left alone
0.3 Bracken to Sehwag, wide: no run, again very very wide, full too,
        left alone
0.3 Bracken to Sehwag, OUT: full, perfectly pitched and just a shade
outside the off, Sehwag has a characteristic blaze at the ball, it
moves away just enough to beat the centre of the bat, take the
edge and land in Hayden's lap!

       India 1/1, Partnership of 1
       V Sehwag c Hayden b Bracken 0 (3b 0x4 0x6)
       SR Tendulkar 0* (0b) NW Bracken 0.3-0-1-1 (1w)

India have lost their first wicket off just the third legitimate
ball of the innings! Shocking start for the home team, and
        brilliant for the Australians
VVS Laxman is the new batsman
0.4 Bracken to Laxman, no run, Laxman sees off the first ball safely,
        no heroics from him
0.5 Bracken to Laxman, no run, just short of a god length and outside
the off, left alone to the keeper
0.6 Bracken to Laxman, no run, and once again Laxman lets the ball sail
through to the keeper, some people will be wishing Sehwag had done
        the same!

        Australian openers follow
This is Anand Vasu, your commentator, welcoming you back for the

What's more, news is just trickling in that India's score might
