There was some controversy with de Silva given out caught behind -
down the leg side, the TV pictures did not clearly show that Latif
had taken the catch cleanly, had that been refered to the third
umpire, de Silva would have got the benefit of the doubt
Well that was not the case to be, de Silva left after making just 5
runs. This was after Atapattu was run out for 16, Jayasuriya
caught watching the ball at the non striker's end.
Sangakkara struggled in making just one run off a doxen balls and
was cleaned up by Waqar
Jayawardene gave good support to hsi skipper making 43 runs, before
being brilliantly run out by a direct hit from Latif, with just
one stump to aim at.

Jayasuriya fell just three runs short of his hundred, trapped by
Akram right in front of the stumps.

Almost twice Inzamam was close to getting out run out, nothing new
to this highly talented batsman though
Inzamam fell prey to a bouncer from Vaas, brilliantly caught by
Jayawardene - whose catching today made all the difference

out of pressure by hitting the ball in the air towards Vaas at

Razzaq gave good support to Youhana and looked like turning it

Soon, Youhana (80) was caught behind off Gunaratne
Akram played some shots and hit one high in the air towards long -
off, Jayawardene took an amazing catch, which has been declared as
the catch of them atch.
One wonders why Afridi had to bat at number nine, he played some
cracking shots - 3 sixes in making 26 off just 16 balls.
