The ODI series is over and we shall be bringing you Test Match
cricket from Pakistan
The New Zealanders suffered a 3-0 defeat in the ODI series but with
some new players into the team after a spate of injuries, are a
far stronger side, Vettori, Sinclair and Richardson are the new
arrivals
This test will be a 'test of extremes', we have extreme heat and
yesterday was 39 deg C and likely to be as hot or hotter today
We have another milestone that of elite ICC umpire Steve Bucknor
equalling Dickie Bird's record of 66 appearances and should go
ahead at Karachi in the next test
We have a debutant, Robbie Hart in his first test appearance and
another milestone, that unlike for the ODI's the stadium is just about
empty, more police than people here
There are reports that some of the Pakistan players are suffering
from a viral infection with congestion and coughs
The forecast is that there will be a lot of reliance on spin, due
mainly to the heat, by both sides

Pakistan and the lowest at Lahore
Batting next it was a far more resolute display and Pakistan did
miss Shoaib, out with an ankle injury
