and penultimate one-day international between India and the West
Indies at Jodhpur's Barkatullah Khan Stadium.
India are faced with a do-or-die situation here. With the West
Indies up 3-2, a win for the tourists will give them the series,
and India must win this game to stay alive in the rubber.
They were helped in part by the toss, which was won by stand-in
captain Rahul Dravid. Dravid had little hesitation in opting to
field first; five out of five games so far have been won by the
team batting second.
India field Dinesh Mongia in place of Sourav Ganguly at the top of
the order, Ajit Agarkar for the expensive L Balaji, and Reetinder
Singh Sodhi for the injured Harbhajan Singh.
The West Indies, unwilling to change a combination that has been
working quite well for them, field the same team that won the last

The West Indies lost out with the bat, but one cannot help but feel
that they also missed a trick or two with the ball.
More aggressive fields, especially when India was teetering at
certain points, could have helped the tourists no end, as could
one more strike bowler in the attack.
But all credit to Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh and Sanjay Bangar who
played with a cool head to guide India home.
