It is the little maestro taking home his 42nd ODI Man of the Match
of his career
Tendulkar played a masterly knock today, scoring 146 runs, tearing
apart the Kenyan bowling.
India won the toss and elected to bat. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav
Ganguly showed no respect to the Kenyan bowlers. The knocked off
258 runs in 41.4 overs, a world record for the first wicket.
There was no looking back after that, a whirlwind 55 by Sehwag
ensured that India went past the 350 runs mark.
As a matter of fact India made 351/3 in 50 overs and effectively
put the match beyond the Kenyans' reach.
It was a tall order for the Kenyan batsmen to chase such a huge
score.
Srinath and agarkar bowled with a lot of pace and bounce, Kenya
never got going after they lost their first wicket, Ravindu Shah,
tragically run out after a terrible mix-up with Kennedy Otieno
There was nothing really in the match for the Kenyans as they
finished with 165/5 in 50 overs, handing India a big win, by 186
runs.
Kennedy Otieno made 40 and Hitesh Modi remained unbeaten on 31.
India will meet South Africa in the final of the Standard Bank
Triangular series on friday at Kingsmead in Durban.
