Irish rain the blues (9 June 1998)

For the second successive day, Bangladesh's one-day match against Ireland was washed out on Monday, according a faxed message. The match was scheduled at the Elington ground in Derry, Northern Ireland.

Weather permitting, the match will be held today at the same ground. The weather forecast was however not favouable for any degree of cricket.

Bangladesh, on a 45-day tour of Ireland, England and Scotland, lost their opening match to Ireland by four wickets in Dublin last Friday. No more cricket has been possible since and their second match last Sunday was also rained out.

Third win for rains (10 June 1998)

Rain continued to play foul with the touring Bangladesh national cricket team in Northern Ireland as their fourth one-day match against the Ireland national team was also washed at the Elington ground in Derry yesterday. Bangladesh, who are now on a 45-day tour of Ireland, England and Scotland, will play their next match against a provincial eleven at Malahide tomorrow.
