Sue Metcalfe, the vice-captain during the World Cup campaign in India, has been omitted from the side which lost the opening match to Australia on run rate.

Skipper Karen Smithies led a spirited England fightback in Scarborough on Sunday and will be looking for more of the same as the side seek to level the five-match series.

Weather permitting, the County Ground at Derby should provide a feast of runs with the outfield having dried out after heavy rain. Both squads trained there yesterday and the 50-over match is scheduled to start at 11am.
