Boland continued their run of poor form as they were trounced by Border in their Standard Bank League clash at Boland Bank Park in Paarl on Friday.

On a sweltering evening they found themselves struggling at 80 for 2 after 23 overs and then crashed to 113 runs all out, eight wickets falling, in 13.4 overs for just 33 runs.

Cedric English, recently transferred from Griqualand West, and Kenny Jackson, brought a bit of stability to the innings in the beginning after loosing Ferreira to Drakes for four runs. But once the skipper was stumped for 28 runs coming down the wicket to Pieter Strydom, the rot set in and Boland were all out after 36.4 overs.

Border's two openers Wayne Wiblin and Brad White put on an opening partnership of 102 runs before Wiblin was bowled, pulling across the line, by Langeveldt, for 73 runs from 63 balls which included 8 fours and a six. Sugden made only one run, being caught behind by Palframan off Langeveldt and Border won convincingly by 8 wickets, with White not out for 28 runs and Pieter Strydom not out for one.
