The BCCSL are not happy that Sri Lanka, the World Cup champions have not been allocated a match at Melbourne against the host country.
According to BCCSL, Melbourne is where Sri Lanka have the biggest support from expatriates living there and they feel it is only right the world champions are given the opportunity to play in front of such an audience.
The BCCSL have requested for the dates of the Australia-Sri Lanka match at Hobart on January 21 to be exchanged with the England-Sri Lanka game at Melbourne on January 19.
According to the itinerary released by the ACB, Australia play the world champions at Sydney (twice), Hobart, Adelaide, and Perth in the preliminary round games.
BCCSL sources said they are confident their request for a change would be acceded to by the ACB.
