SUB: Request for Financial Assistance & Welcome Reception
Respected sir,
PBCC wants to draw your kind attention towards the Cricket for the visually impaired in Pakistan. Blind Cricket Players always brought laurel back homes but doomed to failure to get any sponsor ship, grant and affiliation with Pakistan Cricket Board.
Only 43 days has been left behind in the inauguration of 2nd World Cricket Cup for the blind 2002, and PBCC still hasn't received any grant.
PBCC requested PCB to provide 21 air tickets and financial assistance for the 2nd world Blind Cricket cup, as assured in your letter No.PCB/Blind/LHR/01 dated 27th February 2002, but PCB refused on dated 18/09/2002.
Your kind honor also assure on dated: 29-08-2002 to arrange the Welcome reception in the honour of PBCC for their win over England, but still PBCC is waiting for your invitation.
PBCC requests your kind honor to assist PBCC financially by providing air tickets and arrange the welcome reception. If your kind honor will not help out PBCC financially, then PBCC will no able to take part in the 2nd World Cup for the blind, and the Cricket for the visually impaired in Pakistan may not survive more.
PBCC is optimistic that you will not let Cricket for the blind in the lurch by refusing the request of Air Tickets and Welcome Reception. Visually impaired persons are called Special persons by the government but infect they are not treated as special persons and it's the responsibility of Government and PCB to support the deserving one's. But the Government and PCB haven't given proper attention to solve financial problems for the PBCC and its players. While other ICC member countries has given affiliation to their blind cricket organizations and also release them regular grants. At the same time PBCC is still waiting for the donor for the 2nd World Cup.
PBCC hopes that your kind honor will be sympathetic to our genuine request rather then throwing in the bin.
Very Truly yours
Agha Shoukat Ali,
Chairman,
PBCC.
