With 10,000 runs and 100 wickets in limited overs cricket, Tendulkar is in a
class of his own. No other cricketer in the history of the game boasts a
similar record. For India, the record is secondary. However, Tendulkar's
services as a bowler are nothing to be sneezed at. Both in One-Dayers and
in Test cricket, Tendulkar has rolled his arm over in critical situations.
Whether it is the last over of a limited overs match with only a few runs
to defend, or a large partnership that needed to be broken in the Tests,
Tendulkar was the man. With Zimbabwe being less than comfortable against
spin, Tendulkar's mixture of leg breaks and off breaks could come in very
handy.
