Sourav Ganguly: Indian team captain going through a lean patch with the bat. He will be a marked man in Zimbabwe and will have to raise his game more than a notch to get out of trouble. His weakness against short pitched bowling will be under view as the series progresses. When on song, there are a very few batsmen like Ganguly who could demolish any bowling attack. Nothing can compare to Ganguly's strokeplay on the off side, to date this 29 year old left-handed batsman has played in 41 Test matches for India scoring 2817 runs at an average of 44.01 including seven hundreds. His ability to bowl nagging medium pace will come in handy in Zimbabwe where pitches might be to his favour.
