Rahul Dravid is the perfectionist in the Indian team; he strives hard to get things right. Forty-nine Tests and 4046 runs at 52.54 is world-class stuff. The Indian vice captain has scored 1449 runs at 46.74 in all second innings. His record against South Africa, though, is not one he will be too proud of - 559 runs at an average of 32.88. In the all-crucial second innings, Dravid has done slightly better and has scored 299 runs at 37.37. There is still a lot of room for improvement for a player who takes so much of pride in his ability and technique.
