Dinesh Mongia was slightly unfortunate to be dumped from the Indian team
after the tri-series in Zimbabwe. The Punjab left hander was picked in the
touring party ahead of his stable mate Yuvraj and sneaked into the first XI
following VVS Laxman's injury. Batting at the pivotal No.3, Mongia made 37
& 8, not an abject failure on the face of it, but fails to keep his place.
Mongia did not really inspire confidence in the middle and his footwork, or
rather the lack of it, came in for comment. In the revolving door of Indian
team selection, he moves towards the exit and Yuvraj is back in favour.
