Bevan, then, forged a 21-run partnership with Brett Lee before
the latter was run out. England at that stage were calling the
shots. But the ice-cool Bevan (74* off 126 balls) in the company
of the Man-of-the-Match Andy Bichel (34* off 36 balls) revived
the Aussie chase and guided his team to a record 12th consecutive
ODI win. Fittingly it was Bevan, who completed the formalities,
by stroking the fourth ball of the final over to the boundary.
Australia had, then won with two wickets and two balls to spare.
It was indeed as nail-biting a win as any.
