The ICC Trophy and the World Cup
Canada is an Associate member of the International Cricket Council,
and takes part in the ICC Trophy every four years. The highlight of
recent international Canadian cricket was Canada's qualification for
the 1979 World Cup, matched by their 3rd place finish in 2001, to qualify
them for the 2003 World Cup.

- 1979 ICC Trophy
- 1979 World Cup: -
Canada lost all three games in the World Cup, but gained valuable
experience at the top level. Opener Sealey hit the headlines after
smashing 5 boundaries off Rodney Hogg's opening over in the game
against Australia.

- 1986 ICC Trophy
Paul Prashad made three centuries in a strong performance by Canada.
- 1990 ICC Trophy
- 1994 ICC Trophy
Canada just failed to make the semi-finals, narrowly losing to
eventualy winners UAE, and Bermuda in the second round games.
- 1997 ICC Trophy:
Canada finished in 7th place after making the second round.
- 2001 ICC Trophy in Toronto:
Canada qualified for the World Cup after beating Scotland in the 3rd/4th place
play-off
