NOTE FOR ALL LEAGUE and CUP MATCHES
Bowling of High Full Pitched Balls (The Beamer) 2002

Law 42.6 (b) (2000 Code) differentiates between 'slow' and 'other than slow' high full pitched
balls. The First Class game has decided that both types of delivery shall be considered unfair
if the ball passes the striker on the full above waist height. This is the definition that was
in operation during the 2000 season.

Umpires have been instructed to use the First Class definition in all Southern Electric Premier
League and SEC Cup games. This includes adopting the reporting procedures for a "fast high full
pitched ball" and suspension of a bowler immediately if it is considered by the umpire that the
fast high full pitched ball was bowled deliberately.
