SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR ORGANISED
PARTIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE

(under 17 on May 14 1999 - minimum 10 children per party)

  • Free entry for Party Leaders
  • Reduced prices for children and accompanying adults
  • Kent County Cricket Club is committed to promoting youth cricket in the county and so we are very pleased to invite organised groups of young people, either from schools or cricket clubs to the St.Lawrence Ground, Canterbury to watch the 1999 Cricket World Cup Warm-up Matches being staged here in May at specially reduced prices, with free entry for party leaders.

These exciting matches are 50 overs-a-side using a white ball with teams in coloured clothing. The action will start at 10.45am and there is an interval of 45 minutes between innings at around 2.15pm. As hosts to England in the Warm-up stage of the World Cup, Kent County Cricket Club would welcome your school or cricket club team, and other young people who are interested in cricket to Canterbury.

Front row seats have been specially reserved for youngsters, to give them a chance to get close to the action as Kent take on England on May 7, and the super South Africans on May 9.

    TICKETS

Admission for the two World Cup Warm-up matches at the St.Lawrence Ground is by advanced ticket sales only.

Every seat will be numbered and tickets relate directly to a seat or within a block of seats. Acknowledgement of your ticket order will be given on receipt of your application but the tickets themselves will not be sent out until April 1999, together with further details.

Make sure you inform Kent County Cricket Club of any change of circumstances.

    TICKET CHARGES

Note: Only one child per ten children (or part thereof) accompanying the party will qualify for the special ticket rate of £3 (eg. 16 children = 2 adults, 21 children = 3 adults)

    PARKING AND CHARGES

Note: payment for parking school minibuses and coaches in the ground must be made on the day

    COACHING FOR UNDER 11's

It is expected that children will sit and watch the entire Cricket World Cup Warm-up games, however we appreciate that it may be difficult for younger children to concentrate for the duration of seven hours.

Therefore, additional organised cricket coaching is available with qualified cricket coaches for primary aged children only. There will be a small charge for this coaching. Details will be available later.

    FOOD AND DRINK

There will be plenty of catering facilities suitable for children on the ground.
