Graham McKechnie CricInfo.com, the world's leading cricket web site, and the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) today signed an agreement making CricInfo the exclusive host of the official web site. The deal includes complete audio and video rights for the next three series involving Sri Lanka, with the tours by Pakistan and South Africa. The site will form part of CricInfo's global network of official web sites, hosted at www.cricinfo.com, which now comprises six of the nine Test-playing countries as well as the ICC and several other first-class teams. Sri Lankan cricket fans will enjoy unprecedented levels of coverage, statistics and access to their team. In addition to broadcasting the national side on CricInfo, the deal with the BCCSL also gives CricInfo Internet rights for domestic matches. CricInfo's Chief Executive Simon King said: "The deal with the BCCSL further broadens the range of features available on CricInfo. We are adding another country's official web site to our network and it also brings the exciting opportunity of broadcasting international cricket live on CricInfo. The BCCSL has similar views to CricInfo about promoting cricket and they understand the opportunities offered by the Internet and are keen to utilise them."
