CricInfo brings New Zealand's cricket together on the web 15 September 2000

The agreement follows CricInfo gaining New Zealand Cricket's Internet contract earlier this year. The deal makes New Zealand the first country among the cricket nations to have all its first-class associations and their parent body together in the CricInfo camp. All six provincial sites - Auckland, Otago, Northern Districts, Central Districts, Wellington and Canterbury - and the NZC site will be launched at the NZC season launch in Auckland on 1st December. CricInfo will provide live text commentary online for all internationals along with ball-by-ball scoring for Shell Trophy, Shell Cup, Shell Super Max League matches, match reports and analysis, interviews, profiles, statistics, columns, photographs and cumulative run and wicket tables and points tables for the various competitions. More than 350 days of cricket are to be played over a period of 150 days during the summer and CricInfo anticipates it will have live coverage of over 270 of these. CricInfo is also sponsoring the Women's World Cup, taking place in Christchurch in November and December. Unprecedented levels of online coverage is planned for the tournament, which features teams from New Zealand, Australia, England, India, Ireland South Africa, Sri Lanka and The Netherlands.
