Live cricket commentary on the web Internet first as ECB and CricInfo launch audio service for NatWest Series - 05 July 2000

Graham McKechnie Cricket supporters will be able to follow this month's NatWest Series of One Day Internationals on the Internet with ECB and CricInfo.com's new ball-by-ball audio commentary. The service, will be launched on Thursday 6th July on the new CricInfo powered ECB site, www.ecb.co.uk, in time for the match between West Indies and Zimbabwe. The team, the first to be put together exclusively for broadcasting on the Internet, is to be headed by experienced broadcaster Ralph Dellor. Alongside him will be a host of well-known figures from the world of cricket. The other commentators for the first match at Bristol will include Tony Cozier, Jack Bannister and Jed Pitman, with former West Indian fast bowler Colin Croft and ex-England paceman Neil Foster providing the analysis. The audio commentary will be supported by a host of online features to enhance the listeners' enjoyment. Listeners will be able to email the commentary team, as well as being able to chat to other fans or voice their opinions on the "Worth a Shout" message board.
