On a hot and very humid afternoon, England and India took each other on in what was a do-or-die encounter for both sides. The England skipper Nasser Hussain won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. But with Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra conjuring up an exceptional opening spell, Hussain was soon pondering the wisdom behind his decision. In just the sixth over, star opener Marcus Trescothick and Hussain himself were both back in the pavilion, as England were reduced to a pathetic 7-2. Nehra (seen in pic), who claimed both wickets, was beside himself with joy.
