After Sehwag's dismissal, it was the turn of Ganguly to pound the flagging English bowlers into submission. The Indian skipper went into overdrive, as boundaries and sixes began to flow from his end. Even the run out of VVS Laxman failed to staunch the flow and Ganguly brought up his century in style, hitting a six to move from 94 to 100. The Indian skipper was unbeaten on 117 off 109 balls while Sachin Tendulkar was on 9 off 20 balls when the celebrations began after the eight-wicket win was sealed with 10.3 overs to spare.
