If any new side had to pick an international team to upset, they would go for Pakistan, who are mercurially brilliant and dismal in alternation. Today, however, was one of their brilliant days. Imran Nazir, at the top of the order, spanked 59 off 40 balls with 11 fours, and when he was finally dismissed at 85 for one, the sparse crowd could have been forgiven for admiring the rapidity with which the runs came. But they were in for a rethink.
