Brian Lara was not in the best of health; he had to be rushed to the hospital later in the afternoon. No wonder, then, that the champion left-hander struggled from the beginning. A few lucky breaks, the biggest of which came when the third umpire ruled him not out despite television replays clearly suggesting that the ball had come off the face of the bat, though, saw helped him notch his first ODI hundred in more than 18 months.
