After only playing one first class match for Western Province B, he was selected for the Province senior side and immediately made an impact by taking 6 wickets in the second innings against Northern Transvaal. He was then selected for the South African A side to play England and responded by bamboozling many of the English batsmen. It was felt by many that the 18 year old was too young for Test cricket, yet he made his Test debut in the 4th Test against England claiming four wickets. Furthermore, Adams scalped four more victims in the next Test. A left arm wrist spinner, Adams can bowl a variety of balls. These include the chinaman, googly and topspinner. A brilliant find for South Africa, Adams could be the next Shane Warne.help@cricinfo.com |
