Injury forces Martyn out of Australian side
AAP - 18 September 2002
COLOMBO - Injury has forced batsman Damien Martyn out of the Australian cricket side for tomorrow's ICC Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh.
Martyn, who topscored with 73 in Australia's win over New Zealand on Sunday, did not train with the side today because of a hip injury.
He is expected to be replaced by either batsman Jimmy Maher or spinner Nathan Hauritz, who could get a start if the selectors want to give him match practice for a possible role in the semi-finals.
