Marcus looks forward to his busy winter
Richard Walsh - 10 September 2002

England star Marcus Trescothick was back at his spiritual home, the County Ground at Taunton, this morning, catching up with his mail and signing photographs.

Delighted by the news that he had been named in the England squad to defend the Ashes he told me: "I'm now fully fit and feeling good, and have had no problems at all with my injury which is very pleasing. It was just a pity that the last game against India was rained off in the end."

Looking forward to the busy next few months he told me: "I'm out to Sri Lanka for the ICC Trophy later this week and leave home early on Thursday morning. I come back to England at the end of the month for a couple of weeks and then it's off to Australia for the rest of the winter."
