England stars to play at Derby in ECB Premier League Final ECB Media Release - 6 September 2002
Many stars of the England women's cricket team will be at Derby CCC on Sunday 8th September for the final of the ECB Women's Premier League between Kent Invicta WCC and Wolverhampton WCC. Laura Newton, England's Player of the Series in the recent Test Matches against India will play for Wolverhampton, as does Anna O'Leary from New Zealand. Kent Invicta will play the prolific England batsman Charlotte Edwards and ex-England regular Barbara Daniels who retired from international cricket last year. Invicta field two overseas stars, Australia's spin bowler Olivia Magno and World Cup winner Paula Flannery from New Zealand together with many young players who have represented England and Kent age-group teams this year. The match is 50-overs per side, and will begin at 12pm. Admission is free. © ECB 2002
