Matthew Elliott reached 35 before seam bowler Shane Jurgensen trapped him lbw for 35 with the score on 50.

Seven runs later, Shane Watson's rearing delivery found the top of Graeme Rummans' bat and Michael Dighton caught him at third slip for one.

Victoria made paceman Will Carr 12th man and Gerard Denton will carry the drinks for the Tigers.
