The ICC will launch the first official One Day International team rankings at a media conference at Lord's cricket ground on Thursday, 31 October.
Chief Executive Malcolm Speed will release the first ICC ODI Ranking table, detailing opening positions for each of the 10 Test teams, plus ODI country Kenya.
The launch comes days before the start of an intense period of ODI cricket that will see eight series and 50 ODI games played under the new Rankings system, in the lead up to the opening of the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa in February.
Joining Malcolm Speed at the media conference will be David Richardson, ICC General Manager-Cricket. International scorer and statistician David Kendix, who developed the system being used by the ICC for the new ODI Rankings, will also be available to take questions on the new Ranking system.
