In response to a considerable number of enquiries on the Somerset website forum regarding the future of the Head Groundsman Phil Frost I spoke to chief executive Peter Anderson at the County Ground this morning about the matter.

The Somerset boss told me: "Phil Frost has told both the Club Chairman Richard Parsons and myself that he is leaving the club. However until he puts his resignation in writing he remains as the head groundsman at the County Ground."

As soon as there are any further developments on this situation along with any other new stories and developments regarding new players etc they will be reported here on the official club website.
