Early business brisk for Trent Bridge internationals Media Release - 23 October 2002
Nottinghamshire have been inundated with calls from "big game" enthusiasts desperate to catch a glimpse of the exciting African visitors due at Trent Bridge next summer. The famous Nottingham venue hosts a NatWest Series One-day International between England and Zimbabwe on June 26 followed by the third npower Test against South Africa, starting on August 14. Tickets for both games went on sale just two weeks ago and business has been incredibly brisk with almost £400,000 already banked by Notts staff. Notts' Sales and Marketing Manager Lisa Pursehouse said: "As England get ready to do battle for the Ashes, cricket fans back home have been making their own international match preparations and we've been thrilled with our initial sales figures. "After a fantastic Test here this summer, which went right to the wire on the final day in front of a full house, it's been no surprise that we¹ve already taken around £300,000 for next year's game. "I'm delighted we¹ve sold more than 3,500 seats for the Friday but I've also been particularly pleased with the sales for the Zimbabwe game, which amount to virtually £100,000-worth and are currently matching those for the Saturday of the Test." Tickets for either game can be booked by calling in at the Trent Bridge Ticket Office, online at www.trentbridge.co.uk or by calling 0870 168 8888. © Nottinghamshire CCC
