New Zealand Cricket names women players selected for 2003 Academy New Zealand Cricket - 29 November 2002
New Zealand Cricket today announced the four women it has selected for its 2003 cricket high performance programme at Lincoln University. They are:
Katey Martin Martin has played 10 State League matches and scored a match-winning century for Otago in the National Under-21 tournament during the 2001/02 season. Katey was also a member of the 2002 New Zealand Cricket Women's Development Squad.
Sarah Tsukigawa Tsukigawa was a participant of the Canterbury Cricket Association-sponsored Lincoln University Scholarship programme in 2002. She is currently playing her club cricket in Christchurch where she is a leading performer for the Lancaster Park/Woolston Club. She has played 10 matches for the Otago Sparks.
Rosamond Kember Kember was drafted to Northern Districts last summer and played six matches for them in the State League. In 2001/02 she was captain of the Epsom Girls' Grammar School first XI which contested the National Secondary Schoolgirls' Tournament and was also a member of the 2002 New Zealand Cricket Women's Development Squad.
Victoria Brown Brown played seven matches for the State Northern Spirit during the 2001/02 season and also represented New Zealand 'A' against Australia Youth. She was also a member of the 2002 New Zealand Cricket Women's Development Squad. All four women will attend Lincoln University whilst taking part in the academy programme. © New Zealand Cricket
