Crawley out but Caddick still has chance of playing 28 November 2002
England cricket selectors will wait until Friday morning before naming their team to play Australia in the third Test at the WACA Ground in Perth. England coach Duncan Fletcher said batsman John Crawley was again out of Friday's match with a hip injury while fast bowler Andrew Caddick will be given extra time to decide whether he can play with a back problem. Caddick bowled in the nets today but England officials want to see how he feels after cooling down. Opening batsman Michael Vaughan has been cleared to play but told not to bowl his part-time off-spinners because of knee and shoulder niggles. Fletcher said the make-up of the team could not be discussed until Caddick's fitness was known, but he indicated young off-spinner Richard Dawson was likely to play. England trails 2-0 in the five-match series. © 2002 AAP
