Media Release - 14 November 2002
Surrey County Cricket Club have announced that they have signed a 20-year Staging Agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board.
The Agreement secures the future of Test match and one-day international cricket at the AMP Oval and provides the financial support for Surrey to progress its ambitious plans to modernise and redevelop the AMP Oval.
Michael Soper, Chairman Surrey County Cricket Club stated: "This is one of the most significant milestones in the Club's history. All credit must be given to our Chief Executive Paul Sheldon for his tireless effort over this agreement and our thanks must also go to the ECB. This agreement will contribute enormously to our ability to redevelop the ground and support the ongoing success of Surrey cricket both on and off the field."
