Former Pakistan wicket-keeper Moin Khan guided his team to a 28-run win over hosts Hong Kong in the fourth Hong Kong Sixes clash of the morning at the Kowloon Cricket Club.

Khan, playing as an opener, made 34 after Hong Kong captain, the 42-year-old Rahul Sharma, asked his opponents to bat.

Moin's 13-ball knock contained three fours and three muscular sixes. Naved Latif and Shoaib Malik, two other players who have represented Pakistan in the international arena, were the others to make an impression, scoring 11 and 14 respectively. The contributions of the trio ensured that Pakistan reached 80 for one in their five overs.

Adam Smith, who bowled the opening over of the Pakistan innings, was the most economical of the Hong Kong bowlers, conceding just seven runs.

When the hosts replied, Khaled Butt playing against his native country led the Hong Kong challenge with 22 off nine balls at the top of the order. But with the rest of the home team batsmen struggling, Hong Kong were handed a 28-run thrashing. Hong Kong now have two points from two matches. Pakistan, who secured two points for the win, now join them at the top of the Pool 2 standings.
